Citations & the rulebook
Every AI-generated answer includes a References section beneath the answer text. References are the evidence behind the response — they let you judge the answer for yourself rather than taking it on faith.
References section
References are split into two subsections:
- Rules — specific Riftbound rule citations (Core Rules and Tournament Rules). Each citation links to the relevant rule in the rulebook browser.
- Related FAQs— other Q&A entries that cover similar interactions. Useful for seeing how the community has interpreted related situations.
Confidence notes
Some references include a confidence label:
- Suggested — the AI matched this rule with reasonable confidence
- Uncertain — the match is weaker; read the rule yourself to verify the connection
Rule badges & inline links
Answer text may contain inline rule badges — shorthand references like CR 101.1 (Core Rules) or TR 2.3 (Tournament Rules). These link directly to the referenced rule in the browser.
When an answer mentions Rule {num} without a prefix, the system disambiguates using the matched rules from the References section.
Related cards
When relevant to the answer, card images may appear alongside references. These show the actual game cards involved in the rules interaction.
