Yes - but only if you also choose Irelia with the 'When you play me' triggered ability from Elder Dragon. Here's how it works: Elder Dragon's passive makes any non-zero amount of your damage lethal for enemy units (Rule 142.4.c), so Irelia's 1 marked damage is already lethal once Elder Dragon enters. A cleanup is inserted and Elder Dragon's 'When you play me' ability becomes a pending item on the chain. The WYPM ability has to wait for the clean up to finish before finalizing on the chain. During this cleanup Irelia dies but her death gets replaced by the attached Guardian Angel. Irelia is healed, exhausted and recalled to base (rule 369.1). After this cleanup Elder Dragon's play effect can finalize on the chain and Irelia can be chosen as one of the possible targets. After Elder Dragon's WYPM ability is resolved another Cleanup occurs and if Irealia was a target and did receive damage she would again be marked with Lethal Damage and be killed. Guardian Angel is a one-time replacement effect that intercepts that death, killing itself and healing/exhausting/recalling Irelia.
